One year old a the Sydney Opera House
One year old a the Sydney Opera House

This was such a special session.  This gorgeous mum was the winner of an auction to benefit a father and husband who lost his wife and bub in a tragic fire in our community.  We picked an early morning session at the Sydney Opera House and planned to photograph her little boy on those iconic stairs.  It was such a gorgeous morning I seriously had to pinch myself – it was just too perfect.  This little one was just over one year old and took to those grand stairs like a champion.  I was so honoured to capture some special shots for Mum and Dad to share with family and friends here and overseas.  His favourite toys were the perfect accessories for a little play in between climbing.  I particularly love the shots of mum and bub just under the Opera House sails.  It was the end of the session and he was getting a little tired.  Mum scooped him up for a cuddle and just peaked around so I could snap one last shot.  Sometimes those are the best.  Pefect morning, perfect family, perfect Sydney.

It could not have been a more perfect day for a quick play at Pirrama Park in Pyrmont.  We had tried for months to get the sun to shine on this little one so Mum could have some new photos.  The last time we tried we got seven whole minutes of sun before the rain overtook us. Not today.  The sun was high and bright as this bubbly two year old took on the sand pit.  Older brother was up to his own fun, but this little one was not camera shy!  Pirrama Park is our local park.  It’s right on the water  across from the passenger cruise ship terminal.  I often find myself thinking that I can’t believe we live here.  The kids love it and this little guy was no exception.  He was happy to jump, get wet and do a little digging while I snuck in a snap or two.  Ninja style photo sessions are the best.  He seriously couldn’t be any cuter!
