Everyone has a happy place.  That one spot that makes you feel like everything is going just right. Like the world is magical and the stars have all lined up perfectly just for you.  No matter the weather, all good things happen at your happy place.  It makes perfect sense that your happy place is the perfect place for a family photo session.  For this family, their happy place is Q Station  – the old Quarantine Station over near Manly.  And my oh my is it magical for sure. These guys spend every Easter and many weekends in between at their happy place.

The kids run through the rocky paths like they grew up navigating the stones – and in many ways they did.  They’ve been coming to Q Station is a mini break for years and Q Station has given them a place to create history and traditions that ground a family and create strong ties that bind forever.  Just look at these smiles!

Needless to say, I was thrilled when they picked Q Station for their family photo session.  It is a stunning backdrop with texture and nooks and crannies that any photographer would love. The perfect family photo session location is one where your family has fallen in love with the location and connect deeply with what it means to you.  Chasing these full-of-life kids around was such a fun experience and one I would repeat in a heartbeat (and I did – scroll down to see a now and then photos from their family session four years ago!).

I just loved the colours mum chose for everyone.  The yellow was such a fun pop!  Here is a “What to Wear Guide” just for this session. 

We got soooo many amazing images it is always hard to figure out how to display them.  That’s why for every session I make wall displays so mum and dad can see some possibilities for displaying their new images.  I can even use your own walls too!
