What child doesn’t love an afternoon spent at Sydney’s iconic Luna Park? The lights and the old school ferris wheel can be seen from just about any spot on our side of the Harbour. For a few years, my daughter has wondered what fun awaits beyond the gates. Finally, she was old enough for a special afternoon outing. Giddy with anticipation, we walked under the gigantic clown face that graces the entrance. I love photographing my kids when they experience something for the first time. There is nothing that quite compares to capturing the awe and excitement – it’s pure magic. We spent a sunny, sparkling afternoon squealing with delight as we rode the ferris wheel, the big slides and the carousel. As a bonus, we caught an amazing sunset while waiting under the Harbour Bridge for the ferry ride home that was perfect for a sweet portrait. Perfection – only in Sydney.
